How have you demonstrated your commitment to democratic principles in the past?

I'm a life-long democrat. Since 2015 I have been an active member and volunteer leader with the Illinois Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. I was a local group leader here in C-U and also served as the Illinois Chapter's legislative and elections lead during the 2018 and 2020 elections. We advocated in Springfield and Washington for common sense gun legislation and worked to elect gun sense candidates up and down the ballot.

Yes

Yes

What is your stance on abortion?

Abortion should be legal and treated like any other health care procedure. It's a woman's fundamental right to choose medical care for herself.

Do you feel affirmative action is an effective way to ensure diversity and equity in the workplace?

It depends how it is implemented, but in general, yes, I think it can be an effective policy.
