Champaign County Democratic Committees
Committees are essential to keep the Democratic agenda flowing out to all areas of Champaign County.
There are many ways to get involved in issues that are important to you and your family. Everyone has a part in the committees no matter how big or how small. No task is unappreciated. Everyone has their own unique perspective and ways to approach any given task. There are many ways to get involved that don't require a lot of time, or, if you have the time, there are ways to get involved that can keep you busy and fill your schedule!

Standing Committees
Bylaws
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing the bylaws and preparing any proposals for the Central Committee to review.
Events & Fundraising
The Events/Fundraising Committee is responsible for Identify and organize participation in annual community events in Champaign County and ongoing fundraising efforts to support CCDCC.
Facilities
The Facilities Committee is responsible for managing headquarters, i.e. scheduling, cleaning, maintaining equipment, scheduling use of space, etc.
Labor Relations
The Labor Relations Committee is focused on establishing and strengthening CCDCC’s relationships with local and state unions.
Media & Communications
The Media Committee is responsible for maintaining the CCDCC website and social media.
Rural Precincts
The Rural Precincts Committee is responsible for ensuring precincts outside of Champaign-Urbana are represented and have robust participation in CCDCC, including recruiting precinct committee people in rural precincts.
Underrepresented Populations
The Under-Represented Populations Committee is responsible for ensuring providing guidance and direction to all CCDCC Committees and activities are inclusive, representative of the diverse Democratic Party, and accessible to underrepresented populations.
Volunteer
The Volunteer Recruitment Committee is responsible for recruiting volunteers and interns to assist with Party activities. Training and supporting those volunteers, staffing the Farmer’s Market, recruiting election judges, and ensuring the Party is welcoming to all volunteers.
Voter Protection
The Voter Protection Committee is responsible for conducting voter education, recruiting and training poll watchers, and other duties related to fighting voter suppression.
Voter Registration
The Voter Registration/Political Education Committee is responsible for organizing voter registration events.
